very competitive canoe races.

THREE mile course on flat but moving  water.

Start times handicapped from 1.30pm

according to ability and type of boat.

2022 SERIES - Gate 7 Winter Series

Dates will be published here, when finalised.

  Entry fees  £2.00 each paddler up to a maximum of £4.00 per boat.

    No charge for paddlers supporting participants with special needs.

     Trophies Four trophies are awarded for monthly competition:-

                                            a)  1st to finish

                                            b)  1st lady

                                            c)  1st paddler with disabilities

                                            d)  1st newcomer

            (N.B. The trophies are not 'for keeps' but have to be returned in time for, or at, the next race).

Engraving is at the discretion and expense of the recipient.

      VENUE:

DURHAM ROWING CLUB, Green Lane, Durham City. DH1 3JU

      COURSE:  ONE LAP course starting and finishing at the

      Rowing Club.

               Upstream to Shincliffe Bridge, touch and turn.               

               Downstream to Baths Bridge, (turn at the landing stage/steps which is marshalled).

               Upstream to the finish.
